Product Description: Kincaid Furniture 59-056 Foundry Saw Buck Dining Table - The Sawbuck Dining Table is one of our most popular dining tables. The solid wood construction - in this case Norwegian Spruce - is finished using the protective Kinguard finish making it perfect for active families and entertaining. The coolest feature, however, are the integrated storage leaves. This feature makes it easy to add an additional 18 inches to either end without having to store, locate, carry and open the table just to add seating. The table extends from 74 inches long, to 92 inches long with one leaf extended or up tp 110 inches with both leaves extended.
Collection Features: Foundry's casual styling is both original and at the same time familiar. This merger is in part due to the natural character of solid wood mixed with styling elements and materials found in the workshops and machine rooms common in furniture and cabinet manufacturing. Foundry is constructed of solid Norwegian Spruce which has been wire brushed to give the wood an aged, lived-in texture. A multi-step finishing process adds depth and character with hand-rubbed burnished edges. That process accentuates the grain flow of the more dense grain patterns, creating a rich look only possible with solid wood. In addition to modern features like adjustable soft-close drawer glides, Kincaid utilizes the best of the old-world solid wood furniture construction techniques. Such features include English Dovetails, mortise and tenon construction, floating tops and panels, full dust proofing, and multi-step hand-rubbed finishes.
It has been said that things aren't made the way they used to be, but at Kincaid, that's not exactly true. While several enhancements have been made since the beginning in 1946, Kincaid still uses solid wood construction, english dovetails, and hand rubbed finishes to craft solid wood furniture. The same can be said for the upholstery. Over the past 30 years, the Kincaid upholstery operations in North Carolina have built quality, bench made upholstery one piece at a time. And like Kincaid's solid wood furniture, the upholstery has also benefited from a number of enhancements that continue to add value for the customer.
