South America Dining Table
The Acanthus Spiosus plant has long been used in architecture and decorative arts, first by the Greeks on temple roof ornaments in the 5th century B.C. and is still used in furniture design.
Its jagged leaves are particularly impressive when replicated in wood carvings. The elaborate carvings on the legs and the top of this table feature the acanthus leaf. A polished and distinguished design finished off with brass medallions.
Tobacco Finish with 2-15" leaves.
