AMBELLA HOME FURNITURE STORES
Ambella Home was founded in 1995 by George Moussa, based in Dallas, Texas. The company started primarily as a furniture and home-accessory importer/designer, and over time expanded to become a full lifestyle brand offering a broad array of home furnishings, upholstery, case goods, accents, and more. In 2014 Ambella Home added an upholstery division based in Archdale, North Carolina manufacturing sofas, chairs, sectionals and more. Ambella manages production carefully from initial design and market sample all the way through reorders — overseeing selection of materials, craftsmanship, finishing, packing and delivery to aim for consistent quality. In short, Ambella Home aims to deliver high-end, design-forward furniture and home accents while managing quality and materials closely.
More About Ambella Home
Ambella Home is a lifestyle brand approach — blending global sourcing and local craftsmanship to deliver a wide array of furniture and home accent products, with a focus on design variety, quality finishes, and customization option flexibility where feasible.
Design and Style
Traditional and Transitional: Many of Ambella’s pieces take cues from classic, European-inspired furniture with carved wood, rich finishes, elegant detailing.
Transitional and Contemporary: Over time, the company has expanded to offer more modern or eclectic lines through divisions like their “By George” line, which blends contemporary, mid-century, and French-inspired styles.
Customization Options: Especially in upholstered furniture, Ambella offers a range of fabric, finish, and construction options which allows clients or designers to tailor pieces to specific interiors.
Designer Friendly: Many Ambella Home furniture pieces are more like curated, design-driven statements which is good for distinctive, layered, thoughtful interiors.
Craftsmanship and Quality
Ambella Home emphasizes quality in materials, construction and finishing, especially in their upholstery and higher-end pieces.
Upholstery frames: kiln-dried maple or European beech.
Joints: glued, screwed, and double-doweled for strength and durability.
Seat and back construction: many upholstered pieces feature true 8-way hand-tied coil springs, individually installed and anchored which is a premium feature.
Upholstery build: layers often include polyurethane foam, cotton batting, down-style cushioning, tailored fabric skirts and carefully finished seams — aiming for both comfort and longevity.
Materials for case and accent pieces: wood, marble, granite, stone, glass, mirror, iron and metal hardware are chosen per piece to suit design and function. Ambella claims deliberate material sourcing for durability and aesthetic quality.
Quality control across supply chain: from the initial design and market sample, through overseas or domestic manufacturing, finishing, packing and shipping — Ambella manages production carefully to maintain consistency across all furniture orders.
