Cheryl is a native of Hickory and graduated from Lenoir Rhyne University with a double major in Communications and Sociology which aids in her ability to channel exactly what her clients are trying to accomplish. She loves all aspects of the design process and thrives at helping prospective clients create a vision for what their new furniture will look like in their home.

Diane LaCoursiere-Christensen has decades of experience and is a veteran in the furniture industry with both a Degree in Design from the Vogue College at the Art Institute, Chicago, IL. With her passion for color, texture and extensive product and design knowledge she can help you make your home a reflection of your personality and find the right elements to feather your nest. Having raised two of her own children she understands the importance of lifestyle when assisting you in the selection process. When not in the office she can be found teaching tai chi and you realize you have the most energetic and enthusiastic associate to serve you and your families needs.

Gena Powell joined Hickory Park in 1999. She is a 1987 graduate of ASU. Her area of expertise is seating. Her personal interests include art, design, meeting people, live music and gardening. She has helped furnish all types of homes, from Pebble Beach to Pakistan.

Glenn has 20 years in the furniture industry. He came from a major catalog company where he was Assistant Store Manager in their retail division. Glenn is a resident of Statesville where he volunteers for the historic Preservation commission and sits on the board. During his off time. Glenn spends it with his family in Salisbury or at the Coast of South Carolina.

Leslie Dauphinee graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2013 with a BFA in Interior Architecture. Her experience includes 3 years working at the High Point Furniture Market and 9 years of furniture sales with Hickory Park. She loves getting to know her clients and how they live their lives to create spaces in their home that make them happy and reflect their personalities. Leslie lives in Crouse, NC with her husband and two sons.

Lynze Spurlin is a native of Hickory NC. She attended UNCW and graduated with a Business Administration degree and has been in sales for 20 years. When she is not selling furniture, she enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Nancy was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Ft, Worth, Texas at the age of two and to Greensboro, NC at the age of 7. She proudly calls herself a “Southern Yankee”. Nancy’s Design philosophy is to find the one piece you love and build around it. She prides herself in listening to the clients, getting to know them and giving suggestions to fit their needs. Her goal is complete satisfaction from the beginning to the end. Please come see Nancy in the Hickory Park Showroom. Chances are, “she’s been there and done that”.

Hello, my name is Paul Wellman and I have been with Hickory Park for over 20 years. I have over 26 years of experience in the furniture industry as a whole. I have happy customers all over the globe from Cairo Egypt, The Keys, Virgin Islands, Saudi Arabia. I also helped design the style the former First Lady of the Ukraine wanted for her mountain home. I am happy to assist you in picking out furniture and accessories to suit your needs and style for your home and stay on budget. Looking forward to meeting and assisting you.

Robin Birchfield grew up in the furniture business with her beloved father running his own furniture store for many years. She pursued other degrees and interests for a period of time before coming into the furniture business over 25 years ago. Her greatest passion is putting projects together and seeing them come to life. She loves building a special relationship with the many customers she has worked with over the years from all over the country.

Robin G is the longest tenured employee, 35 years. She has filled many positions within the company. Interior design, sales, management and customer service. Born into the home furnishings industry, she can remember helping her mom set up showrooms in the Furniture Mart. Her great grandfather was one of the founding fathers of Hickory Chair. Loves furniture, good food, cooking and her dogs.

Sandy has been sales manager in our comfort zone for 21 years. She finds joy in helping people from all over the world fill their homes with beautiful furniture. She loves reading and working in her garden but her grandchildren are her greatest pleasure.

Sherry was born and raised in Hickory, NC. She grew up with the her parents and siblings working in the local furniture factories. She has been with Hickory Park for almost 19 years and enjoys working with people to help find the right furniture for their home. She is willing to work with any budget while helping you get the best value. Sherry will do everything possible to help you find the right fabric, leather or materials for your lifestyle. She wants you to enjoy your furniture purchase for many years to come and if she doesn’t have what you are looking for she will help you find it in another showroom in the Hickory Furniture Mart. She resides here in Hickory with her husband of 41 years. She has a son, beautiful daughter-in-law and a precious new grandson she loves spending as much time with as she can. Sherry also enjoys the beach, hiking, canoeing and tubing in the NC mountains.

Tim has been living in North Carolina for 20 years. In 2020, He moved to the mountains with his dogs. Tim has worked at Hickory Park for a year and a half and has over two decades of experience in the furniture industry!
