Bassett, Sr., both of whom were from Bassett, Virginia, first founded the company. Employing over 500 craftsmen in factories based in Galax, Virginia, the company is extremely proud of the fact that 100 percent of the furniture is crafted here in the United States by American employees. In fact, Artisan & Post is now the largest manufacturer of wooden adult bedroom furniture in the United States. All these items are generously scaled, feature chamfered pilasters, and intricately designed base rails. They also showcase fully finished drawer interiors, and under the drawer soft closing ball bearing drawer guides.
